P.O.D (Payable On Death)

With a 15-year career under their belts, P.O.D. has logged a remarkable array of achievements, including worldwide sales exceeding 8 million, sold-out international concert tours, a series of chart topping radio hits, and an unprecedented FOUR #1 MTV videos.

Supported by their passionate fan base - known as "THE WARRIORS" - the band has created what they describe as "a catalog of music that we want to respect and honor with each step into the future."

"P.O.D. is an exciting and an important band with an expansive musical vision and a powerful message for our times."

The song's video and lyrics are directly inspired by The Matrix Reloaded. The chorus features the line "dreaming of Zion," which refers to the last human city of planet Earth as depicted in the film.

Linkin Park - Bleed It Out

"Bleed It Out" is the first of two tracks on the album to contain rap vocals from Mike Shinoda. The structure of "Bleed It Out" is similar to that of the band's earlier hit, "Faint", in which both  are fairly short songs, have rapped verses and a sung chorus and bridge, and are both about frustration. The main guitar riff of "Bleed It Out" which repeats throughout a majority of the song came as a result of guitarist Brad Delson playing a note incorrectly.

Mike Shinoda stated that the lyrics to this track were difficult to perfect, as he re-wrote the lyrics to this song about a "hundred times" (referenced to in the first line of the song: "Here we go for the hundredth time") until the band was satisfied with them.
The song is the shortest track on Minutes to Midnight

Best Rock Bands Ever

A purely subjective list of the groups that changed music forever

    The Beatles
In February 1964, (from left) Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon brought Beatlemania to the United States, forever changing the face of music.

The Rolling Stones
Despite their advancing age, Mick Jagger, left, and Keith Richards and their band, the Rolling Stones, are a better band live now than they were in the 1970s

U2
U2, with guitarist the Edge and lead singer Bono, is now a mature, confident, still amazing band that knows it doesn’t have all the answers, but isn’t afraid to keep asking the right questions

 Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin, with vocalist Robert Plant, left, and guitarist Jimmy Page, came to symbolize the Dionysian excesses of the rock lifestyle. The band, however, has sold more than 50 million record in the U.S. alone.

Bob Marley
Jamaican singer Bob Marley brought the righteous message and “positive vibrations” of reggae music to the world

 Pink Floyd
Syd Barrett - Guitars / Vocals
Roger Waters - Bass / Vocals
Nick Mason - Drums / Percussion
Richard Wright - Keyboards

FILTER - Take a Picture (Lyrics)

Awake on my airplane
Awake on my airplane
My skin is bare
My skin is theirs
Awake on my airplane
Awake on my airplane
My skin is bare
My skin is theirs

I feel like a new-born
And I feel like a new-born
Awake on my airplane
Awake on my airplane
I feel so real

Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
(repeat)-Yeah

I don't believe in
I don't believe in your sanctity; your privacy
I don't believe in
I don't believe in sanctity or hypocrisy
Can everyone agree that no one should be left alone
Can everyone agree that they should not be left alone
And I feel like a new-born
And I feel like a new-born (kicking and screaming)

Do you wana take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
Do you wana take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
(Repeat)

Daddy what do you think about your son now?
Daddy what do you think about your son now?

Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I won't remember
Do you wanna take my picture
Cuz I will not remember

Linkin Park : Past & Present

Linkin Park or LP went international with their debut album "Hybrid Theory" in 2000.
This album combines Alternative Metal with Rap-Rock. Linkin Park is mostly known for it's Rap-Rock combination if you hear the album you will realize how brilliantly their Rap lyrics flows with heavy guitars. Mike Shinoda also the pioneer of Linkin Park is all over the place in this album. But according to me some of the songs can be ignored.

"Meteora" in 2003 the whole album is an excellent piece of work. Every detail has been given alot of attention on this album. Every song in "Meteora" has to be your favourite. While you are listening to the album you realize  that as they'll go further they will get better than this but that really wasn't the case. No doubt it was by far the best album they ever made. I am not saying they are One hit wonders but their is something missing in Linkin Park's later albums. For me "Meteora" is a giant and no other Linkin Park's album can be compared to it.

In 2004, Jay-Z and the band worked together to produce a remix album called "Collision Course".The album, which featured intermixed lyrics and background tracks from both artists previous albums.

In "Minutes to Midnight" (released in 2007) they expreminted with their established music quiet alot by having only 2 songs has rapping and the rest of the songs are Alternative Rock. Through this album they finished their status which they had among mature rock music followers which were poster boys and only famous among teenagers. This album shows a much mature image of Linkin Park and why not they were growing as musicians. However Chester's vocals were not so amazing and again Mike Shinoda doing his job thats what I think :P.  My rating is 7/10.

Upcoming Album : "A thousand Suns"  the most intelligent and majestic album of Linkin Park’s career. It's  a prove to the band’s ability to go beyond the boundaries set for them by critics and fans.
One of the important things to look forward is see the return of Mike Shinoda’s rap vocals an element which was missed in "Minutes to Midnight"  :-)

Rock music orginated in the United States in mid 1950s and increasingly popular throughout much of the world. Rock music has been a volatile , unpredictable creature that has constantly redefined and reinvented itself. Generally it can be described as a hard-edged music performed with electic guitars , bass and drums.

I started off listening to Breaking Benjamin that means Alternative Rock & P.O.D after them went further and started listeining to Foo Fighters and now still going!
